Dreaming of a fabulous holiday somewhere can sometimes be a pure wish fulfilment dream illustrating your deep desire to escape the daily routine and your responsibilities. • Holidays are a period of respite, a time to relax and escape. But holidays eventually come to an end suggesting a time of change when this dream occurs. • If you’re travelling towards a holiday destination it suggests a desire to escape your daily chores and get the adventurous spirit back in your life.
A desert island paradise suggests a need for time alone to reflect and recharge your batteries.
Suffering after pleasure, carrying one’s own Cross. Also, all suffering is over. (“On Ash Wednesday, everything comes to an end.”) Contemplating the essentials.
The birthday is a magical time when wishes are fulfilled, but where somebody could also cast a spell over you (“Sleeping Beauty”). Important are the gifts, the kind of celebration, and how old you became. Gifts usually represent characteristics of the dreamer or the person whom the dreamer is meeting and are an indication of how rich your life is because of them. In addition, a birthday is a celebration of your personal existence and your individual characteristics are the gifts. They are worthy of being honored. Pay attention to the overall flavor of the birthday party. How did you feel?
Vision: Celebrating your own birthday: a pleasant surprise is in store for you. Celebrating the birthday of another person: meeting other people will open up positive professional opportunities.
The sum of the digits of the numbers of your birth date are connected to important experiences of either the past or the future .
The meaning of numbers is discussed in the chapter “Numbers in Dreams.”
Whether it is your birthday or the birthday of someone else, this dream represents a leap in consciousness or growth. Consider the feeling tone. See Graduation or Party.
Any celebration is a time for a release of or change in energy, and a birthday gives an opportunity to look back and take stock, from a spiritual perspective, either of the year just past or of the decade.
Psychological / emotional perspective: Dreaming of a birthday signifies that we have the right to celebrate – either an anniversary or a new phase in life.
Material aspects: There may be a sense of anticipation about something which lifts us away from the ordinary. We may have a gift or talent which is now usable.
Dreaming of your own, or another person’s birthday, means good luck is coming your way.
To dream of birthday presents - or receiving a birthday card - has the same meaning as above.
If you dream that people forgot your birthday, your dream may be telling you that you have forgotten something in real life, like an important date or appointment. Alternately, this dream may represent your fear of being abandoned by friends.
A birthday cake in a dream means that your desires will be attained. It also signifies that you’re comfortable with opening yourself up to other people.
To see a birthday cake in your dream is a wonderful omen, meaning the best of your wishes will be realized. It also represents your willingness to share your life with others.
Receiving happy surprises, means a multitude of high accomplishments. Working people will advance in their trades. Giving birthday presents, denotes small deferences, if given at a fe^te or reception.
(arb. Sirat) This is the bridge people have to walk on after the Day of Resurrection to meet their Lord on the Day of Judgement.
The ease of crossing it depends on the weight of deeds one is carrying. Some cross like lightening, while others have to carry their burdens and move at varying paste. Walking on it in a dream means ajourney. Ifthe bridge caves under one’s feet in the dream, it means destruction and death. Seeing this bridge in a dream also represents knowledge, truth, believing in God’s oneness and following the teachings and example of God’s Messenger upon whom be peace.
If one’s foot slips while crossing in the dream, it means that he will miss the true path.
If one sees himself walking the path in a dream, it means that he is on the right track, follows what is commanded and abstains from what is forbidden. It also means that one will undergo awesome changes, undertakes major responsibilities and succeeds to reach safety. Ifone’s foot slips in a dream, it also means that he will fall into sin and deviate from the straight path.
1- When a particular date is highlighted in a dream, we are either being reminded of something particularly significant or possibly traumatic in our lives or perhaps to consider the symbolism of the numbers contained in the date itself (see Numbers).
2- Very often the psyche gives us information in dreams which is precognitivc and it is possible to be alerted to particularly important events in dream form.
3- A certain date or day could point to information about a spiritual festival that the dreamer has sub-consciouslv retained and which may have relevance for them.
A form of spiritual illumination is quite often felt within this type of dream. There is a gradual awareness rather than a blinding flash of illumination.
A new dawn can bring a great sense of hope. Day and night can represent opposites, as in black and white, boy and girl etc. Indeed, any two opposites may have relevance, and it is up to us to decide what opposition there is in our lives.
Psychological / emotional perspective: Psychologically we are aware of the passage of time, of darkness or difficulty passing and perhaps the need to mark or celebrate this in some way. We often differentiate between two states in dreams, and the contrast between day and night highlights this.
Material aspects: To dream of a dawn or a new day represents a new beginning or a new awareness in circumstances around us. We are looking for different ways of dealing with old situations. Dreaming of both day and night indicates the cycle of time or of changes that will inevitably take place. Sometimes indication is given of the nature of a period of time.
When we dream of a day- passing, or register that time has passed, we are alerting ourselves to the fact that we need to gauge time in some activity, or that action needs to be taken first before a second thing can happen.
2- Time has no real meaning in dreams, so to note that time is measurable suggests that we are actually looking at the length of our lives.
3- The old saying of ‘a day is a long time in polities’ goes some way to helping the dreamer understand that a day may also represent a much longer period of time than first thought.
Dreams of activity taking place during day light symbolize that which is exposed and revealed, as opposed to dreams of activity that take place at night.
If you dream of a cloudy or rainy day, then it represents loss and struggle.
If you dream of a sunny day, then this represents clarity, hope and that you have a new lease on life. See Light and Dawn.

Example: It was a beautiful hot sunny day, and I was in a children’s playground talking to a woman I knew vaguely’ (Kim B). Mostly our mood. In the example Kim feels bright and cheerful.
An overcast day would be the reverse. Also being conscious, seeing’ what we are doing, our waking experience. See light; time of day.
night
Example: I was creeping through a field at night. In darkness I and others were trying to accomplish some secret act, rather as spies or underground agents might’ (Tom). Similar to dark. Usually the unconscious, dark or little-sensed areas of oneself. In the example the secrecy occurs because pans of Tom’s childhood experience were ‘hidden’ behind the forgetfulness or unconsciousness of emotional hurt. Also loneliness; areas of subtly felt urges or feelings. And sometimes freedom; we may be constrained by the social or moral rules we apply to ourself during the ‘day’ or waking consciousness, but on the edge of consciousness, or in sleep, we find a wonderful freedom which allows us escape. Sometimes shown by escaping from a house at night and running away. See dark.

If your dream about a day care center featured children who were old enough to walk, it is a good omen of happiness in family affairs and/or school, whichever concerns you most.
If the children at the day care center were babies, the meaning depends on how they behaved.
If they were happy or cute, good things are coming to you through the help of friends. However, if the babies were ugly or in any way displeasing to you, look out for treachery in someone you trust. Helpless or sick babies are generally a warning of difficulties ahead, so be cautious in your friendship and love affairs.
To dream of Qiyaamah having approached means that justice will prevail in that place.
The oppressors will be visited with severe punishment fromAllah, for Qiyaamah isreferred to as Youmul-Jazaa and Youmul-Fasi meaningDay of Retribution and Day of Deciding who is liable for punishment and who is worthy of reward. And if the people of that locality are oppressed they will be delivered from their plight.
Vision: Ever)’ day is only a small part of your life, but the dream might want to remind you how quickly time passes. See Clock.
The journal is a reminder of things past and events that were important enough not to be dismissed. Maybe you are confronted with past experiences with which you have not yet come to terms? See Book, Learning.
To watch the day break in a dream, omens successful undertakings, unless the scene is indistinct and weird; then it may imply disappointment when success in business or love seems assured.
(Day) The dawning of the daylight in a dream means relief from pain, distress and sorrow, or it could mean buying a new garment, marriage, having beautiful children, the emergence of truth, unveiling what is hidden, release from prison or the coming home of a traveller.
the best days of what is seen [in dreams] is on Friday, next is Monday, and Thursday. And whenever a person dreams on a clear and bright day then it is better in its truthfulness [the dream], and perfect depending on his light and illumination.
Daytime scenes in a dream comment on what you are actively pursuing to fulfill your life. Daytime may also reflect the light of consciousness or what is understood or recognized by your conscious mind versus what is unconscious.
To dream that you are living on, and looking forward to seeing doomsday, is a warning for you to give substantial and material affairs close attention, or you will find that the artful and scheming friends you are entertaining will have possession of what they desire from you, which is your wealth, and not your sentimentality.
To a young woman, this dream encourages her to throw aside the attention of men above her in station and accept the love of an honest and deserving man near her.
If you dream of doomsday you are venting and processing through your fears, negativity and dread. This can also symbolize that you looking for a solution while you are grappling with issues of impermanence. See Apocalypse and Venting Dreams.
(arb. Jumu’a, the sixth day of the week.) Recognizing Friday, the sixth day of the week in which the believers gather for their congregational prayers in a dream means receiving God’s blessings, recuperating a lost property, receiving compensation for one’s losses, and changes in his financial conditions from tightness to ease. Ifone sees people gathered to pray the congregational Friday prayers at the grand mosque while he is still in his house or shop, and ifhe hears the call and segments of their prayers, or if he suspects people to be leaving the mosque to return to their homes in the dream, it means loss of his status in that town. Ifonejoins the congregational prayers in the dream, it means that he will receive protection and honor in that town. Ifone thinks it is Friday in his dream, then the meaning will be more pejorative than laudatory. Joining the congregational Friday prayers in a dream also may connote a pleasant journey with anticipation of a financial reward one may receive. Joining the Friday congregational prayers in a dream is a sign of joy and living to join one of the two festive congregational prayers of the end of Ramadan or that of the pilgrimage season.
The Friday congregational prayers in a dream also represents the pilgrimage of the poor people, or satisfying one’s debts. It also means anticipating a relaxed financial conditions, or meeting with an old friend or a beloved after a long separation. (Also see Pilgrimage; Preachr)
To dream of a holiday, foretells interesting strangers will soon partake of your hospitality.
For a young woman to dream that she is displeased with a holiday, denotes she will be fearful of her own attractions in winning a friend back from a rival.
Sense of relaxation; being independent; satisfying one’s own needs; reaching a period of one’s life in which one can rest on one’s laurels. See example in clothes; example in crossroad.
1- To be on holiday in a dream indicates a sense of relaxation and of satisfying ones own needs without having to take care of others.
2- Our need to be independent and to be responsible often comes across in dreams as a holiday Quite literally, the word means holy-dav a day set apart and we may need to heed the warning that we need time off to create space for ourselves.
3- Spiritual replenishment, rest and relaxation arc all part of a holiday.
Dreams of a holiday signifies that you are giving yourself permission to relax, have fun and unwind. This is a special time in your life to be fully enjoyed. See Celebrate and Christmas.
Psychological / emotional perspective: Our need to be independent and to be responsible only for ourselves often comes across in dreams as a holiday. It is time set apart for our own concerns. We may need to heed the warning that we require time off to create space for ourselves and restore our own emotional balance.
Material aspects: To be taking a holiday in a dream indicates a sense of relaxation and of taking a break from responsibilities. In theory we do not have to be concerned about ordinary everyday matters.
Each holiday has a unique ambience that depends on your family’s culture and religion. Consequently, any holiday celebration that appears in your dream must be considered with that background in mind.
For example, Christians celebrate Easter as the resurrection of Christ, and might therefore interpret this holiday in a dream as significant to personal restoration.
To a modern pagan, however, this date honors the spring, fertility, and earth’s renewal, the implied symbolism being productivity, hope, or healthful rejuvenation.
Consider the name of the holiday in a metaphorical context.
For example, dreaming of April Fool’s might reflect feelings of foolishness that stem from ill-considered actions, words, or pranks.
The need to honor and remember one’s family traditions.
A memory from previous holidays that somehow reflects, or affects, current situations.
Though from a spiritual perspective it is not right to judge others or to make judgements, in dreams we often find that we tend to do this. We need to be sufficiently spiritually advanced in order to accept matters as they present themselves, without passing an opinion.
Psychological / emotional perspective: Our own experience and, for that matter that of our families, can lead to problems with authority figures such as judges in dreams. These experiences can equally make us judgemental of others’ difficulties and peccadilloes.
Material aspects: Within work situations our judgement is often an integral part of decision making. We must, for instance, evaluate whatever criteria are being applied and act accordingly, just as a judge in court must be as fair as possible.
To dream of the judgment day, foretells that you will accomplish some well-planned work, if you appear resigned and hopeful of escaping punishment. Otherwise, your work will prove a failure.
For a young woman to appear before the judgment bar and hear the verdict of ``Guilty,’’ denotes that she will cause much distress among her friends by her selfish and unbecoming conduct.
If she sees the dead rising, and all the earth solemnly and fearfully awaiting the end, there will be much struggling for her, and her friends will refuse her aid. It is also a forerunner of unpleasant gossip, and scandal is threatened. Business may assume hopeless aspects.
Dreams of judgment day reflects an opportunity to find yourself innocent; to discover that you’ve either been doing the best you can or the fact that there are areas of your life that need to be improved or amends that you need to make. You are coming to terms with death, your beliefs about the after life, spirituality, God, and your own -judgments. Your dream is giving you the message that it is time to connect more solidly with your higher purpose. See Atonement and Apocalypse.
Celebrating the new year’s day in a dream means a short lived happiness, reminiscing the past, the passing of sorrow and adversities, or recovering lost money. In the dream, if the new year’s day coincide to be on a Friday, it means the spread of evil, corruption, or political turmoils for that year.
If it is a Saturday, it means drought, hardships during a difficult year, plagues and illness.
If it is a Sunday, it means a cold winter and a blessed crop for that year.
If it is a Monday, it means floods, winter illness and perhaps a partial loss of the crop.
If it is a Tuesday, it means shortage of rain and a cold winter.
If it is a Wednesday, it means scarcity and deficiency of water, and a cold weather by the end of summer and beginning of autumn.
If it is a Thursday, it means a prosperous year, except for the livestock. This interpretation was given by Ptolemy, theAlexandrian astronomer 367 -283 B.C.duringhis residence in Egypt.
whoever sees that he has left from the darkness into the light, and is from the people of righteousness then he will leave from neediness [and go] into wealth / sufficiency. As for the light which is the day then it is interpreted by: right guidance. And the beginning of the day, is interpreted by: the beginning of the matter which he asks for. Its middle and last parts are compared against that.
interpreted, regarding the people of righteousness, upon 4 sides: salvation, joys & success & righteousness & the conclusion’s felicity. And regarding the people of forgetfulness it is in opposite to that.
Vision: This day of the week might illustrate your religious and spiritual connection to a higher power (See God, Guru), or it may simply be a sign that you need some peace and quiet.
If you dream of Sunday, then this represents a desire for reprieve from business and doingness, to connect with your spiritual practice, and have a spiritual reverie and bask in your inner sunshine. See Sun.
The passage of time in our life; our age; our sense of ease or pressure.
the daylight hours Our conscious waking life; our area of choice and ability to make decisions. Most dreams deal only with one day. Where several days pass in the same dream, or even longer periods: the dream is expressing periods of change; different stages of growth in one’s life; or very different conditions through which one has lived or might live. Being late: feeling we have left something too late or we have missed out on something; realising we have not acted quickly enough to avert something; avoidance of responsibility.
To dream of Valentine’s Day implies a romantic heart and that you hope to bring a deeper love into your life. Dreaming of feeling sad or disappointed on Valentine’s day suggests that it is time to make a strong commitment to your own happiness. You may need to organize a special ritual just for yourself: for example, write a ‘love letter’ and read it to yourself in the moonlight.
